I have been in the Lake Nona area for over 7 years and one of my biggest complaints was the lack of a proper coffee shop. In the beginning I could understand why. There wasn’t enough happening in the area for a coffee shop to thrive, but in the last three years the area has bloomed into something that’s drawing more and more people to our humble little off shoot of Orlando. More businesses are opening, unique restaurant concepts, new housing, and with the medical centers nearby people are truly flocking to Lake Nona. As the rest of Nona developed out it seemed like we were still seriously lacking in the coffee arena.

Well this month Jacq & Jack changed that and brought craft coffee to Lake Nona. They aren’t just a coffee shop though; they’re a full service salon. I’ve had my eye on their Instagram for a little while and I can tell that the owners have put a ton of love into creating a beautiful and functional space for people to perform their crafts. While I’ve only experienced the coffee I am excited to see what else they have to offer. This is a blog all about the coffee though, so where did it stand up in all of this?

Look at this beautiful space! (Screenshots from @jacqandjack on Instagram)

I am a sucker for Lineage Coffee Roasters (I have their baseball cap and have been in love with them for years), and they proudly serve their coffee at their bar. I was so excited that they were going to be carrying Lineage and I was definitely not disappointed by my iced latte. It was delicious and creamy and it was even better sitting in their hanging chairs that were perfect to chill out and chat in. They’ve nailed the vibe, the coffee, and as far as the locations they could have picked I think they nailed that too. Laureate Park is an up and coming area with some great restaurants like Canvas, Bosphorus, and Chroma and is really a center of development. It’s exciting to see a business bringing something new to the area, and I can only hope that it encourages others to do the same and take a chance on Lake Nona.

Excuse me while I come back once a week to sip lattes and sit in these amazing chairs.
